Skinny jeans are undoubtedly a huge trend, and most people own at least one pair. I am completely obsessed with them and admittedly wear them 90% of the time. This has meant I have perfected a few combinations and chosen a few of my favourites to show in this post!
1: Baggy Shirt
Nothing is comfier than an oversized tee, and if you can make it look effortless and cute, you’re winning. By pairing your baggy t-shirts with skinny jeans, you can not only be comfortable and practical, but you can also look stylish. I love tucking my tees into my jeans for a more relaxed look or wear distressed jeans for a chic look; pair this look with a belt for an extra accessory. This combo also goes amazingly well with heels or ankle boots, so play around and dress up the outfit a little with some cute shoes.
If you’re looking for a little extra inspiration, look no further! Olivia (over at Absolutely Olivia) created a stunning look with a simple grey tee and jeans within her 30 Day Styling Challenge post; I had to share it with you all as I am in awe at her stylish take on a minimalistic look!
Gear up for a warmer day with an oversized jumper tucked into your jeans; cute and comfortable, and great for keeping cosy in winter. It also looks pretty effortless, and almost any colour combination works. Pair it with a belt to add a little interest and some bling! You can also opt for a cropped sweater as that allows you to pull off a cute look and stay warm! I love wearing cropped sweaters with jeans because they go really well and the outfit is suitable for colder weather, which is something I get quite a bit of in England. I’ve teamed this combination with a grey headband to add a little something to the outfit.
3: Cropped Shirt
Although it may not be your favourite look, you can often wear shorter shirts with jeans as a high waisted pair will not show much skin. Wearing a belt can also fix this issue! Bandeaus can also work, and throwing a denim jacket or bomber on over the top can keep you a little warmer.
These skinny jeans are a pair I wear faithfully I’ve had them for just over a year now and wear them weekly, if not almost daily. They go with pretty much anything and I love the distressed ankles. The colour also goes well with black, so I thought this combo would be ideal for a walk and sightseeing in Roses, Spain.
If this look is something you’d love to recreate, there are so many different ways to do so! I’ve left a link to the gorgeous combination that the inspirational Lucy Williams put together, with slightly faded skinny jeans and a stunning white vest top.
4: Bomber jacket
For the colder months, adding another layer can make a big difference and keep you comfortable. Bomber jackets are ideal for pairing with jeans as they’re cute and comfy but won’t take over the whole outfit, and there are also many colours that you can choose for. Khaki green is my personal favourite, but black may go with more outfits so have fun experimenting!
Kate Bartlett, who I am a huge fan of, created a beautiful and individual look with a floral bomber and jeans over on her blog; if you want some more ideas on how to pair your bombers with denim, she is the girl to go to!
